An epic route that leans on gravel backroads, Arrowhead starts at Chisolm's Mill, a functioning mill that also serves as a picturesque photo opportunity. The route scopes out Tyendinaga Township's rural farmland before heading north toward Tweed, but cuts under the village: if you have the time--and the legs!--detour right at Old Hungerford Road and head into town for an espresso and lunch at Cube Coffee. After that, it's back on the road: if you opt out of the detour, you can refill on snacks and water at the Thomasburg Store at KM 80.
Both Ivanhoe (KM 100) and Maple Dale (KM 7) cheese factories are short detours from the main route and fresh curd is worth the stop if you're not on a timeline.
